gundam thinner for painting use.
Differences between ordinary thinner and gundam modelling thinner is this thinner ingredient is suitable for plastic.
My Hobby thinner is actually similar to other brand thinner and is a local brand, much more affordable in compare to Tamiya, mr. Hobby, etc.
Thinner's other use may be for filling seam on combined / attached part:
Putty, Fill the seam with putty and sand it down, it is a common practice to mix putty with some thinner (cheap kind from a hardware shop will do) to make the putty more vicscous thus allowing it to seep into the seams. A popular practice among some modellers is to use Squadron putty with thinner and applying it on the seam then leaving it to dry for a few minutes before rubbing off the excess with nail polish remover and a cotton bud. (Note that the thinner will cause damage to the plastic, so be careful). If done correctly, the putty will not require sanding for the Squadron method provided the parts are levelsource: gameaxisThe other use would be to clear off the panel line (after dry):
After the line is dry, you may use cotton bud to mixed with some thinner and remove the dried ink which you accidentally painted using the gundam marker.
- This product contain 250ML of thinner, and should be able to use for at least 6 gundam mecha model, if you are standard user :)
