ABS is favored for parts that need to withstand mechanical stress or heat. 

Best for: Custom weapons, inner frames, or joints that might rub against other parts.

Handling: It is more elastic than standard styrene, meaning it is less likely to shatter if dropped. However, it is harder to bond with standard hobby cement; you should use ABS-specific cement or super glue.

Warning: Certain "pour-type" panel line markers can make ABS brittle and cause it to crack if applied directly to the bare plastic.
