[STAR WARS] 1/144 Millennium Falcon (The Forces Awaken)

The Millennium Falcon was a Corellian YT-1300 light freighter used by the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca during the Galactic Civil War. It was previously owned by Lando Calrissian, who lost it to Solo in a game of sabacc.

Its aged appearance belied numerous advanced modifications to boost the ship's speed, weapons and shield, including a hyperdrive engine among the fastest in the entire galaxy, enabling it to outrunImperial Star Destroyers. It also included sensor-proof smuggling compartments, which were used during the rescue of Princess Leia Organa to evade Imperial stormtroopers. Afterwards, the Millennium Falcon saw further action when Solo chose to join the Rebels during the Battle of Yavin, where it was able to sneak up on Darth Vader'sTIE Advanced.

After Han was captured on Bespin, Lando took command of theFalcon once more to search for him, and later flew the ship at theBattle of Endor, where it entered the Death Star II and destroyed it from within. During this battle, the starship's circular sensor dish was knocked off as Calrissian piloted it through the Death Star's interior.

In addition to its renowned hyperdrive, which made the Falconboasted as the "fastest ship in the galaxy," the ship was equipped with a backup hyperdrive. Compared to the primary engine, it was much slower and often took several weeks or months to reach the nearest star system. It also had a dejarik table featuring creatures found throughout the galaxy.

At some point over the following thirty years, the sensor dish was replaced with a rectangular model.

Bandai are continuing their 1/12th figure range with the new First Order storm trooper. The snap together kit can be built up unpainted but we think the traditional glue and paint method will make this into a cool looking model - Don't know too much about the First order?


In the years that followed the battle of Endor and the fall of the Galactic Empire, the break-off movement called the "First Order" emerged, inspired by the principals of the fallen government and led by former officers of the Empire.

The First Order was active approximately thirty years after the Battle of Endor, and fought against the Resistance. Just like the Empire - the First Order employed the use of stormtroopers, including variants such as flametroopers and snowtroopers.

The new model storm trooper featured in "The Force Awakens" has a slightly slipstreamed body armour look. And this model can be posed in most positions for you to use wherever you want. 

The new Bandai kit in 1/12th scale comes with a bunch of optional parts, a small display base that can be joined to another trooper to make your own army in perfect ranks!

[Star Wars] 1/72 Poe's X-Wing Fighter

Codenamed Black One, and made famous by Poe Dameron in the Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, the T-70 X-wing fighter was the successor to the T-65B X-wing starfighter, manufactured by Incom-FreiTek for use by the New Republic Starfleet.
More expensive and complex than the former T-65B, the T-70 featured advanced weaponry and proved more versatile than its predecessor, and was essential in both dogfights and capital-ship scale combat operations.
Utilizing Bandai's trademark color injection molding techniques, Poe's X-Wing Fighter is faithfully reproduced in 1/72 scale.

This X-Wing features opening and closing S-foils laser effect parts that can attach to the wings, a cockpit with 2 different canopy options, and display stand.

[Star Wars] 1/12 General Grievous

Dreams do come true, my friends. Bandai just announced General Grievous for their Star Wars model kit line. And I couldn -  ??t be happier.


And there are several reasons for my happiness, besides getting to add a new Star Wars figure to my 1/12 scale display.

One, the model kit figure line is continuing. It -  ??s been a while since a new figure, as in an all-new kit, has been announced. I was afraid the Battle Droid reissue and the hologram Darth Vader was signaling the demise of one of my favorite lines.

Two, it -  ??s Grievous. In the model kit line. Sure, we -  ??ve seen teases in the S.H. Figuarts line but I was hoping for a model because they are bigger. That -  ??s it. Sure, the detailing will have to be painted and it may feel just slightly more flimsy than an actual action figure, but the good General will end up more imposing on the shelf after being put together. Don -  ??t get me wrong, I -  ??m still hoping for an SHF, but I -  ??m downright giddy at the thought of building Grievous.
