MG 1/100 MSA-0011 S Gundam

A prototype mobile suit that appeared in the Gundam Sentinel series. Transformable to 3 Jet fighter - G Attacker, G Bomber and G Core. Features with a working cockpit hatch. Includes 3 pilot figures. Beam smart gun can be anchored to the waist to replicate the attack pose. Water-slide decals are included as well for accurate markings. Stories The MSA-0011 (MSZ-011) S Gundam (also called Superior Gundam, but its original name is the Supreme Gundam[1], codename: "Ι Gundam" (Iota Gundam) in the Greek letter Anaheim Gundam series), more frequently called the S Gundam, is an incredibly powerful Earth Federation Forces mobile suit.[2] There were four units built[3], but only one has ever made an appearance in any story. The one appeared in Gundam Sentinel and in the story, send to the Taskforce Alpha battleship Pegasus III, where it was assigned to pilot Ryu Roots. 


Although the S Gundam had three separate cockpits, the other two were not used until the very end of the plot, where three pilots would be saved by the core block system (see below). Since its plans are highly classified, it is said in chapter 1, Revolt in Pezun, that the pilots have been only able to train in Z Plus B types, which are the highest performance transformable mobile suit they have access to. The S Gundam is equipped with relatively heavier armour than its Z Plus cousin, which is specifically mentioned in the story (Chapter 2:Sally Forth! S Gundam) where the 2 Z Plus C1 accompanying the S Gundam in its booster configuration took more damage even though S Gundam was at a much higher acceleration when against enemy fire. To further confirm this point, the author mentions that the pilot cannot even bear to imagine what will happen if they are using Neros or GM IIIs in the same situation. Within the design notes, the offensive capabilities of the S Gundam featured a highly accurate beam smart gun, with 12MW power operating the beam smart gun normally, the unit can connect the beam smart gun to two extra power outlets on both left and right hips or the centre of its belly, to supply extra power that increases the beam smart gun up to 56MW. 

However, this will have to sacrifice the mounting of one of the two 12MW beam guns that are similar to the ones used in the Zeta Plus mobile suit series. Two beam cannons protruded from the S Gundam's backpack over the shoulders, and it also featured four 60 mm vulcans in the tail stabilizer and four 60 mm vulcan guns in the head, in which the mechanical designer, Katoki Hajime, specially took the problems of this weapon in the pass series into account, including the barrel length being too short which means the weapon can only have grenade launcher effects as well as no space for ammo, and lengthened the barrel (also the depth of the head of S Gundam) and introduced the liquid explosives electronic firing mechanism to the design[2], in which later retconed earlier designs and is again mentioned in Gundam Officials, the Gundam Encyclopedia and Master Grade instructions. It also featured a red circular-shaped wire-guided remote beam weapon called an Incom that was stored in the forehead. And finally, to round out the S Gundam's weaponry, the unit featured two beam sabers stored in recharge racks in the small white protrusions in the unit's knees. The S Gundam is built on a modular design, made up of two separate transformable units that could combine with a core fighter variant called the G Core to create the full S Gundam. The S Gundam was capable of separating into the 3 crafts. The G-Attacker (also referred to as the A Parts) is one of the crafts, which was made up of the upper torso area of the S Gundam. The second craft was called the G-Bomber (also referred to as the B Parts), which were composed of the lower torso and legs of the S Gundam. 

The G-Core core fighter, which were the C Parts of the S Gundam, was flown by Ryu Roots. The story used this mechanism as a make shift role for the task force alpha not having enough mobile suits for the battle and has to compromise by separating the S Gundam for 3 pilots in chapter 12, Pursuit. The author also made his own disbelieve in combining robots[4] in the midst of battle into the plot, where S Gundam is forced to combine back into the mobile suit form and sacrifice of the 3 pilots' instructor was made by being their shield in order to buy them time for the combination in chapter 13, Triple Attack. A.L.I.C.E. The S Gundam in Gundam Sentinel featured a unique and incredibly complex artificial intelligence computer that went by the acronym name A.L.I.C.E., which was developed by Ryu Roots' mother, Meith Roots. A.L.I.C.E., which stood for Advanced Logistic & Inconsequence Cognizing Equipment, was more than the standard learning computer featured in earlier mobile suits; "she" had the capability to think and to grow. The growth of ALICE is one of the main plot lines to the story, compared to the growth of the main character Ryu Roots. In "her" early stages of growth ALICE was not yet a full individual, but "her" experiences with Ryu Roots would help "her" to grow. ALICE is originally programmed to place the pilot(s) life as first priority, and could assume total control of the S Gundam if "she" felt that the unit was in danger. 

This function has been used throughout the plot to save the pilot's life and caused confusion to the pilot since Ryu Roots has no knowledge of ALICE's existence even towards the very end of the story. Although 4 S Gundams have been produced, it is known that the other 3 S Gundams do not have the ALICE system installed on it.

Almost all of the fins and hatches on the G-Defender move to allow various configurations, reveal missile bays, etc. Technical and historical notes Early during the Gryps Conflict, the Anti-Earth Union Group's newly-captured RX-178 Gundam Mark II mobile suit was soon outclassed by new variable-form mobile suits/mobile armor being developed by their Titans enemies. Although fairly impressive for its innovative new "movable frame" construction, the Gundam Mark II soon found itself left behind in terms of mobility, armor and firepower. To compensate for these shortcomings, the Anaheim Electronics Company developed a new weapon to enhance the Mark II's performance. Called the FXA-05D G-Defenser, this new space fighter-like unit was capable of docking with the Gundam Mark II. During cruise/flight mode, this form was called the G-Flyer. However, the Mark II could assume full control of the G-Defenser's weapons as a mobile suit, becoming what was commonly called the RX-178+FXA-05D Super Gundam. The Super Gundam sported an approximately 20% increase in speed/acceleration over the stand-alone Mark II, as well as provided the benefit of additional (and more effective) gundarium armor and the powerful long rifle and missile pods. These improvements allowed the Super Gundam to operate on a more equal footing with the high-performance variable mobile suits being fielded by the Titans at the time. With the outbreak of the Bloody Valentine War, the Earth Alliance's Atlantic Federation begins a secret project to develop mobile suits to counter ZAFT's mass-produced ZGMF-1017 GINN as well as operate free of interference from the N-Jammers. The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is one of five initial designs that the Alliance secretly builds with Orb. The Blitz Gundam's design is geared towards melee combat and stealth missions. Like the other prototype Gundams, the Blitz Gundam is equipped with the new Phase Shift (PS) armor technology. When in Phase Shift mode, the Blitz Gundam is nearly impervious to attacks from shell-firing artillery or melee weapons. However, use of Phase Shift for extended periods of time is a massive drain on the energy battery. Unlike the other four prototypes, the Blitz Gundam's body is coated with Mirage Colloid particles. When activated, the Mirage Colloid renders the Blitz Gundam invisible to the human eye as well as computer sensors for up to 80 minutes. However, the Mirage Colloid cannot be used simultaneously with Phase Shift, rendering the Blitz Gundam vulnerable to attacks while invisible. After the war, the Alliance creates an upgraded version the GAT-X207SR Nero Blitz, along with a special operations production unit, the GAT-S02R N Dagger N.
 
The Blitz Gundam's armament consists of a "Trikeros" offensive/defensive system. Mounted on the right arm, this system functions as a shield and beam rifle, and also shoots out lancer darts. The Blitz Gundam Is also equipped with a "Gleipnir" anchor on its left arm, which Is similar to the "Panzer Eisen" rocket anchor used by the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike Gundam. The Blitz Gundam first enters combat on January 25, C.E. 71, when it's stolen by ZAFT pilot Nicol Amalfi during the attack on Heliopolis. Subsequently, Nicol tests the Mirage Colloid system by using it to penetrate the defenses of the supposedly impregnable Alliance space fortress Artemis. Nicol is later killed on Earth when the damaged Blitz Gundam is destroyed by Kira Yamato's Strike Gundam. Orb later uses a salvaged arm from the Blitz Gundam to upgrade its MBF-P01 Gundam Astray "Gold Frame".

Weapons
  • Gleipnir Anchor: The left forearm of the Blitz mounts the "Gleipnir" anchor, a weapon which can be fired to pierce an enemy unit and then retrieved on a line. A similar technology is installed on the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike in the form of the "Panzer Eisen" rocket anchor.
  • Trikeros Offense/Defense System: Mounted on the right arm of the suit, the "Trikeros" offense/defense system is the main weapon and shield of the Blitz and includes several features.
  • 50mm High-energy Beam Rifle: For ranged combat, the Trikeros mounts a high-energy beam rifle.
  • Lancer Darts: The Blitz has three lancer darts that can be fired or be used for close combat.
  • Beam Saber: Mounted on the Trikeros, its the Blitz's primary close combat weapon of choice.

MG 1/100 Strike Rouge Gundam (Clear Color Ver.)

Here's another cool "Clear Color" release from Bandai! Strike Rouge follows the same design as its previous Master Grade release with the exception of its new, crisp, clear color scheme. Its parts appear almost crystal-like, and, though they are colored, they are transparent. This version of Infinite Justice is just made to shine under the proper lighting! Like all of the Bandai Master Grade model kits, this Strike Rouge Clear Color Ver. is completely snap-together with parts that are molded in color so no paint or glue is needed to complete it. The directions for the model do feature Japanese text, but they also have English lettered and numbered pictures that are very easy-to-follow. This Strike Rouge Clear Color Ver. Master Grade Model Kit is brand new, and all its parts are factory sealed by Bandai Japan.

The Strike Rouge is a mobile suit using spare parts from the GAT-X105 Strike that was in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and its sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Its primary pilot is the Princess of Orb Cagalli Yula Athha. The word Rouge is the French word for the color red.

After the first Strike was destroyed outside the territory of the Orb Union, a different Strike model was built, using spare parts of the originial suit. This Strike variant, called the Strike Rouge, was built on the Kusanagi during the last days of the first Bloody Valentine War and piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha, who used the suit for a short time during the Second Battle of Jachin Due on 26 September, CE 71. Among her actions was the rescue of Athrun Zala, who detonated his suit inside ZAFT's superweapon GENESIS to prevent it from firing on Earth.
The Strike Rouge remained operational until mid CE 74, and was used as Cagalli's personal mobile suit after she and the crew of the Archangel left Orb. She launched in her suit several times to convince the Orb forces not to fight against the ZAFT ship Minerva, although with little success. When the Archangel returned to Orb, after modifying it to his specifications (by configuring the suit's Variable Phase Shift armor to reflect the original Strike's colors) Kira Yamato launched into space with the Strike Rouge (equipped with a booster) and used it briefly to protect the Eternal. The Strike Rouge however was no match against ZAFT's newer and more powerful mobile suits and was heavily damaged in this battle. With both of its pilots equipped with newer and more powerful mobile suits, the Strike Rouge did not see battle again and it remains questionable if it was ever repaired or simply decommissioned.

Weapons wise, the Strike Rouge features the exact same weaponry as the original GAT-X105 Strike. This includes the two head-mounted CIWS guns, two combat knifes and a beam rifle.
Like the Strike, the Strike Rouge was always equipped with a Striker Pack. The most commonly used was the Aile Striker, which added additional two beam sabers to the armament. Besides the Aile Striker, the suit also was known to be equipped with the Integrated Weapons Striker Pack, or IWSP. This pack combined the best aspects of the Aile, Launcher and Sword packs from the original Strike. It included a large number of additional weaponry to the suit's armament, including railguns, cannons, anti-ship swords and a combined shield, mounting a gatling gun and a beam boomerang.

Though never stated in the series, it is obvious that the Aile Striker Pack for the Strike Rouge was upgraded by the Orb Union between the end of the First Bloody Valentine War and the Second Bloody Valentine War. The original Aile Striker Pack did not have full flight capability in the atmosphere, however in Gundam SEED Destiny the Aile Strike Rouge is shown on several occasions flying in Earth's atmosphere along side the ZGMF-X10A Freedom.

Shoulder armor and shield are equipped with a deployment gimmick, and the kit is accurately color-moulded with clear and plated parts, and includes decals for the smaller details.
  • Sengoku Yoroi shoulder armor is deployable- use it to give the Sengoku Astray two extra sword-wielding arms or as a weapon to increase the Astray’s punching power.
  • Oni Tate shield is deployable to server as rear protection or as an arm-mounted shield, and the ‘mouth’ of the shield can open

In addition, Master Grade (MG) is a line of Gunpla kits based on Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It was first produced by Bandai in 1995 as part of the Gundam 15th Anniversary project.
